Manuscripts are to be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than October 31st, 2021. Up to September 15th, 2021, the papers may be uploaded to https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=chila2021, as it was specified in the Conference Call.
The length of the paper is not limited.
The font should be Times New Roman, letter size 12, line spacing 1,5. Letter size for notes should be 10, and line spacing single. Pages should be numbered.
Papers that include images (photos, graphs, tables) should be sent, apart from the standard format, also in pdf format in order to avoid unwanted text changes. The letter type used should be sent for papers that include special symbols. All drawings and images should also be sent as separate documents.
The text should include:
HEADING – author(s) information: name, academic title, affiliation, e-mail
ABSTRACT AND KEY WORDS
BODY (numbered titles and subtitles)
LIST OF ABBREVIATIONS
LIST OF SOURCES
LIST OF REFERENCES
LIST OF IMAGES
Names of books, scientific and literary works and journals should be written in italics.
Examples from sources and materials should also be in italics.
Quotations in the text should be marked by author’s name, publication year and page number, e.g.: (Brown, 2017: 75). If the author’s name is part of the text it should be outside brackets: e.g. Brown (2017: 75) explains…
If a cited publication has two or three authors, use all the surnames: e.g. (Brown, Stevenson, Hill, 2014: 12).
If a cited publication has more than three authors, use only the first surname and et al.: e.g. (Brown et al., 2015).
The list of references should include complete bibliographical information on all the publications mentioned in the paper. Publications are listed alphabetically by last name and chronologically by the publications by the same author.

we would like to inform You that the application deadline for participation in the 10th International Scientific Conference Children and Languages Today (ChiLa 2021) has been extended. The abstract can be sent until July 1, 2021. The acceptance notification will be sent by July 15, 2021.

Reading in Contemporary Context
from September 16 – 18, 2021 in Osijek, Croatia
The conference is organised by the Department of Croatian Studies and the Department of English and German Studies of the Faculty of Education in Osijek.
The conference theme is inclusive of various research backgrounds and approaches, and we therefore encourage interdisciplinary contributions with regard to, but not limited to, the following topics:
1. Emerging literacy and pre-reading skills
2. Internal factors in the development of reading skills (age, gender, cognitive traits, affective traits, reading strategies, etc.)
3. External factors in the development of reading skills (family environment, pre-school and school environment, non-formal and informal environment, etc.)
4. Difficulties in mastering reading skills
5. Reading culture

Due to numerous inquiries about the paper submission deadline for the 9th International Scientific Conference Children and Languages Today, we have decided to extend it until June 15, 2019. The central Conference theme is Children and linguistic identity. The Conference will be held from 12th to 14th June 2019 in Osijek. It is organized by the Department of philology, Faculty of Education, University of Osijek.
The publications from the last Conference will be presented at this year’s conference.
It is our honour to announce the confirmed plenary speakers, Prof. Marianne Nikolov, University of Pecs, and Prof. Anitka Skelin Horvat, University of Zagreb.
